Christmas Eve in Miami

Monday morning (Christmas Eve), z and I flew down to Miami to spend the holidays with my brother and sister-in-law! The rest of my family met us down there as well as Amanda’s dad!

We were picked up by mom and Amanda then greeted with post-engagement hugs!

If you remember the last time z and I were visiting Shawn and Amanda in Miami, you remember what awesome hosts and fun foodies they are! This visit was no different!

Antipasto!

Everyone hung around the fire while dinner was cooking!

Eating outside on Christmas Eve!? Yes please! It was gorgeous!

Oh, hey diamond ring (obsessed).

Dinner was served buffet style which is the easiest for a big group! Two salads: Caesar and greens with fennel. Both with homemade dressings!

Layered Italian eggplant dish – almost like eggplant parm but WAY better!

Gluten-Free Oreo Bombs which were in fact…the bomb!

Yum.

We also had mint ice cream pie!

We were all super stuffed when we headed back to the hotel. As we were leaving Amanda’s dad played a nice little send off on the baby grand!

Packed like sardines.

When we got back to the hotel, we were greeted with an awesome welcome bag from Shawn and Amanda. Like I said, AWESOME HOSTS!

We all went back to our rooms, took cat naps and freshened up for the Midnight Mass of the Nativity! Doesn’t feel like Christmas without church on Christmas Eve!
