This year, z and I hosted the appetizer and dinner portion! We called it a modified progressive dinner ;)
Before getting everything ready, I made a gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, and egg-free holiday cake for my little buddy Miles who has food allergies! I think it came out pretty nicely!
I made meatballs for the first time to have for appetizers. It’s half beef and half Italian sausage with onion, spinach, basil, soy milk, flax egg, salt and pepper.
I browned them on all sides before putting them in to the sauce.
The table is set!
This Fenton serving tray was Grandma B’s and I was so happy to use it! Cheese, crackers, grapes, carrots, and barbecue shrimp!
Super easy rolls.
The main dish: Seafood Stew courtesy of SG! Thanks Sarah!
Here’s little Miles
really, really enjoying his soy milk!
Louis enjoyed having his buddy to play with!
Time to eat!
It would not be a Pike Family Christmas dinner without these napkin holders, so SG brought them over!
Everything was delicious!
After dinner, Miles had to go to bed, so we met up over at the G’s house a little later for dessert!
Sarah made this amazing 6-layer Salted Caramel Chocolate Cake!
What’s dessert without beer and champagne?
Classy ice bucket for some classy ladies ;)
I mean seriously…look at this:
What a great celebration with our amazing friends. T & D, we’re sorry you couldn’t be there!
Cheers to wonderful friends and amazing dinner parties!! Another successful Pike Family Christmas Dinner!
