I was supposed to work until 3pm on Christmas Eve, but when I woke up at 7am, I had a text from my boss saying “STAY HOME!” Hooray for that!
I slept for two more hours and then decided it was time for carrot cake oatmeal (oats, water, steamed carrots, walnuts and a few white chocolate chips for icing!).
Then it was time to bake Pumpkin Whoopie Pies! I used another recipe from the Brown-Eyed Baker (it’s becoming a favorite!!).
Wet ingredients (I didn’t have another clean bowl!).
Flannel pj’s and Christmas
All mixed. I love the color!
I was all packed and ready to go…until I found a completely flat tire on my car! No worries, my dad drove down and rescued me (and all the whoopie pies)!
When I got to my parents house I made the maple cream cheese frosting!
Time to go visit our aunt!
After visiting with K, we went out to Azucar for dinner…just like last year!
Grandma B and mom!
Jah was sniffing my seafood soup to make sure it was ok!
Me and Jah!
Jaybird and Grandma B!
My colorful Caribbean Salad with oranges, peppers, avocado, corns, greens, onion and two types of dressing!
Fajitas were the popular dish tonight…
Then it was time for Christmas Eve service at my grandma’s church. I love the lighting of the candles…and ending with “Joy to the World!”
“Merry Christmas To All!”
Mom and Jason hid the leftovers under the bushes…Classic!
Mother and daughter.
Before we dropped grandma off, we drove around the neighborhood looking at lights!
When we got home, we played with the animals and watched TV.
Cookies and soymilk for Santa!
Then the cat and I fell asleep on the couch. Oh, how I love the holidays!
Tomorrow is Christmas!!
