Bar Harbor, Maine – Day Two
We stayed in a random motel last night because everything in Bar Harbor was full! Because of that…the breakfast pickings were
gross slim. We stopped in a little convenience store for breakfast supplies on our way in to Acadia National Park.
Orangina, Chobani and PB sandwiches.
Time to explore!
Beware…there are a lot of pictures in this post. They are all beautiful which is why I didn’t want to leave any out!
We all had a banana to fuel up for the hike! The Park Rangers told us both Dorr and Cadillac Mountain were “moderate” hikes. We later came to find out they were both listed as STRENUOUS! Yowzas.
You want me to hike up where??
Top of Dorr Mountain (~1250 ft.)!
Top of Dorr, looking out at Cadillac (our next challenge).
Snack before we started Cadillac Mountain.
Cadillac (1,530 ft.) was so tough that I didn’t take any pictures until we reached the top!

After our 10-mile hike, we checked in to our newly improved hotel: The Bar Harbor Grand Hotel!
After a much needed shower, we headed out to dinner at the Bar Harbor Inn’s Terrace Grille
We put our name on the list and headed to the bar for a drink.
Sea Dog Blue Paw Wild Blueberry Wheat Ale! So delicious and full of blueberry flavor :)
First up: clam chowder
Next up: fresh green salad with the BEST HERB VINAIGRETTE I’ve ever tasted. It was seriously amazing!!
Next up: clams and mussels
Last but not least: blueberry pie with real whipped cream!!
Next up: a walk around town (to digest of course)
Finally, a sunset :)
Long hike, long meal, long day…GOODNIGHT!
