I think the whole house slept in Sunday morning ;)
Oh sweet, sweet breakfast! My brother went out and picked up a cantaloupe, cottage cheese, greek yogurt, whole grain bread and peanut butter!
Here’s my buddy!
Animals love z’s feet. So strange…
After breakfast and showers, we headed out to South Beach. We decided to grab drinks and a small bite to eat before we went to the Gospel concert.
We chose Bice Cafe.
It was pouring!! We were happy they had huge umbrellas because it meant we got to sit outside.
We were treated to a melon ball shot made with real watermelon juice/pulp!
We just so happened ;) ;) to be sitting across the street from a Sunday Brunch Drag Show! Lucky, lucky us!
Work it ladies!
The girls had bloody mary’s! <3 <3
The boys got mojitos.
Happy couple. I love them!
Free bread! Free bread!
z got the club sandwich. This thing was more like the “VIP Section at the Club” sandwich; it was HUGE! Yup – he ate it all!
The rest of us split two appetizers: crab and lobster salad and a tomato, roasted pepper and mozzarella salad.
MM MM MM!
After round one…the server came over and told us the drinks were buy one, get one free. Obviously we took them up on that offer…
Three olives!! Good call sister :)
Two drinks was definitely enough for this girl! We finished up and walked to the church.
A group called Seraphic Fire put on the Gospel concert: "Ev’ry Time I Feel The Spirit: The American Spiritual Trio.” My brother works with the Miami Choral Academy which is an initiative by Seraphic Fire, so he knew the people involved. It was a really good show!
We came out to more rain. Boo.
We headed to a Mexican restaurant to meet up with my brothers friends and have some dinner.
Veggie fajitas (and an unpictured Sangria)!
After dinner, we were stuffed! We walked around a little bit to digest and then headed home. We saw these really cool trees on our walk!
We watched some tv, but we were all falling asleep, so off to bed we went! Last day in Miami tomorrow :(
I’m loving this visit!
