They just moved into a new house and it is so neat. Lots of little nooks and openings and windows :)

I finally got to meet my nephew-puppy Edgar! Love at first bite sight!!

Miami-Maine 2010 105

Good boy!

Sister roasted some tomatoes and serrano chiles.

Miami-Maine 2010 117

She also chopped up some chipotles for a spicy yogurt ranch dip!

I never, ever eat ranch dip. But THIS dip was freakin’ awesome! Chunks of chipotle peppers, tangy yogurt, YUM!

Miami-Maine 2010 125

Brother was chopping veggies and corn tortillas.

Miami-Maine 2010 124

Remember all those roasted veggies?? They turned into this beautifully addicting salsa! I really need to try and recreate this ASAP!

Miami-Maine 2010 126

As if homemade salsa wasn’t enough, they fried fresh corn tortillas to make chips!

After I’d made my way through tons of chips, salsa, veggies and dip, we headed outside to setup for dinner (wait, you mean there’s more food coming??).

I got a birthday present!!

Miami-Maine 2010 133

Sister is going to make me a pillow out of my father’s old army shirt and boy scout handkerchief.

Miami-Maine 2010 141

Sister and brother :)

There is a mango tree in their neighbors yard with a lot of branches that hang down in their yard. The last mango of the season fell and this little guy raced to pick it up!

Miami-Maine 2010 138

Corn and kebobs on the grill!

Miami-Maine 2010 142

The table has been set…TIME TO EAT!

Miami-Maine 2010 145

Dinner Wine: Clos du Bois Sauvignon Blanc

Miami-Maine 2010 146

Homemade coleslaw.

Miami-Maine 2010 148

Tons of veggie kebobs.

Miami-Maine 2010 149

My super delicious dinner plate! And yes, of course I went back for more!

Miami-Maine 2010 151

After dinner Edgar walk (really…we just needed to digest!).

Miami-Maine 2010 155

After our walk, I was surprised with the most beautiful vegan chocolate raspberry cake! So that’s what was in the box ;)

Miami-Maine 2010 157

I was so happy and excited! Pardon the beer wine food coma tired eyes!

Miami-Maine 2010 158

It says my name!!

Miami-Maine 2010 159

Cake and ice cream with lots of toppings.

Miami-Maine 2010 160

Of course no 26th vegan birthday cake consumption is complete without some bubbly!!

Miami-Maine 2010 161

Can you say…SPOILED!?!? :)

Miami-Maine 2010 162

I spent the Saturday after my birthday with my brother, sister-in-law, nephew puppy and my boyfriend…
