After getting to bed after 2am, z and I weren’t rushing to get out of bed Saturday morning. We finally got up around 10 :)
z went for a run and I brewed the coffee.
FF plain yogurt, flax, raw oatmeal and fresh strawberries!
We packed a lunch even though they didn’t allow food or drink into the festival. We found some nice picnic tables by the beach, so we just took our time eating and enjoying the weather.
Crunchy Fuji apple.
z got a big chicken sandwich with avocado, bacon, veggies and wasabiiii.
I made myself a peanut butter and blueberry jam sandwich on Health Nut bread :)
It was such a gorgeous day!!! The sky was blue, the sun was shining and the temperature was just right!
This backpack has seen quite a few music festivals. Unfortunately it’s a little too small and I’ll be getting a new one soon.
When we walked in the gates we walked around for a bit to scope things out!
There were a good number of people there.
After drinking a few bottles of water, we decided to have a beer. Starr Hill was a sponsor and they were serving an amazing pale ale. It was super lemony and refreshing! <3
These are my rock and roll guitar string bracelets ;)
What’s left of The Yardbirds
In between sets, we walked down to the beach to feel the water. It was chilly but felt nice.
The Bay Bridge
The sun was breaking through the clouds!
View of the festival from the beach.
Shemekia Copeland – the crowd LOVED her! She was a lot of fun!
He brought his wireless in to the crowd. We were pretty close…but not close enough for a good picture.
He is soooo awesome and innovative and talented and funny and amazing and…I’ll stop now ;)
love note: For our first date ever, z and I went to a Buddy Guy show. Now we’ve seen him 4 times together! How cute :)
Driving out to Annapolis could not have been easier. We made great time getting there and great time coming home!
We got home around 10pm and we were HUNGRY!!
z threw together a quick spinach salad with cranberries, black pepper, olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
We dug into my freezer stash (I bought this right before one of our big blizzards!).
z doctored it up with some black pepper and red chili flakes!
We put it straight on the rack for a crispier crust…
We noticed that one side was getting more brown than the other, so in a joint effort, we tried to use spatulas to spin the pizza…
…it ended up sliding off the back of the rack and on to the hot cooking bulb. Instant burn. It started smoking right away, but we pulled it off super fast. Crisis semi-averted! The only evidence of a mishap was this little piece that hit the bulb. Phew…
Hooray for having dinner at 10:30pm!
We were so hungry!!
Thank God for frozen pizzas and Buddy Guy!!
